Visual album created alongside plunderphonic pioneer Macroblank during the Void TV: Barber Beats Special on Ryan Celsius.

The 20 minute mix features eight classic Macroblank tracks, paired with ethereal visuals that materialize a minimalist, late night noir soundscape. The project included glitched analog CRT re-scans, track title animations, custom motion graphics, 3D environments, and mini-DV footage shot during a month-long trip to Japan.

This project also marked a new chapter for my work, taking an entirely HD approach to the creation process from the outset, while exploring ways to repurpose a retro-aesthetic as something modern.
